Experience

Joe graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2007. Following admission to the bar in 2008 he spent 12 months as associate to Justice Porter at the Supreme Court of Tasmania. Joe started at Page Seager in May 2011, after having worked as a Solicitor at another Hobart law firm.

Brett practises in general litigation, with a particular emphasis on building and construction disputes and general insurance litigation. He is able to assist clients during all stages of a matter including the provision of advice, assistance in disputes and negotiations and as a practitioner in proceedings. He regularly appears for clients in the Supreme Court of Tasmania and the Magistrates Court of Tasmania. Brett also practises criminal law.

Experience

Brett graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2003. In 2004 he began working for another Hobart law firm before commencing as an associate with Page Seager in 2008.

Experience

Zoe completed a Bachelor of Laws at Bond University in 2008. In 2009 she completed a 12 month graduate program at a high profile national law firm whilst completing her post graduate diploma of legal practice through the College of Law. In early 2010, Zoe joined Page Seager Lawyers as part of the Corporate and Commercial practice group.

Kathryn joined Page Seager in 2008 in the firm’s corporate and commercial group. Her areas of expertise include construction law, procurement and tendering, leasing and licensing, privacy, advising Government-owned corporations, energy and resources and general commercial contracting. Kathryn became a Partner of the firm in 2010.

Experience

Kathryn completed a Bachelor of Science and Laws (with Honours) at the Australian National University in 2000. She then spent seven years working in the mergers and acquisitions team of a high profile international law firm, followed by a year working for the Australian Government in procurement, tendering and commercial contracting.

Candice practices as a lawyer in Page Seager’s corporate and commercial group. She has a particular focus in the areas of commercial leasing, construction contracts, general commercial contracting and property law matters.

Experience

Candice completed a Bachelor of Arts and Laws at the University of Tasmania in 2009. In August 2010 she graduated from the Tasmanian Legal Practice Course and commenced working at Page Seager Lawyers.

The Page Seager Construction and Infrastructure Group has experience in a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects including drafting and negotiating construction contracts and advising in relation to construction disputes. The group has been involved in building and redevelopment projects, pipeline installation, crane construction and deconstruction, road construction, dam enlargement, office fitouts, pump station developments, pavement reconstruction and affordable housing projects. The group is experienced in the use of AS construction contracts, as well as MBA, ABIC and bespoke construction contracts tailored to suit client needs.
Page Seager assists clients to manage their construction and infrastructure projects from preparing a Request for Tender, to drafting and negotiating appropriate contracts, through to managing and implementing the contracts. The Page Seager Construction and Infrastructure Group provides advice on all aspects of disputes arising from construction and infrastructure contracts. We act as advocates in arbitration or litigation processes and advise on their respective merits where there are multiple choices. Page Seager understands the complexities associated with disputes in this area of the law and adopts a pragmatic and commercial approach while protecting the client’s interest.
