Our Approach

Page Seager operates a large and diverse Insurance Law practice. We act for Australia's largest insurers, including Allianz, Zurich, Suncorp/GIO, IAG/CGU and Vero Insurance. Our clients operate in a range of capacities and include underwriters, re-insurers and claims managers.

We are committed to exploring settlement and claims resolution at all stages of claims and seek to achieve cost-effective, optimal settlement at the earliest possible time. Our lawyers are skilled negotiators who, working together with clients, achieve excellent results.

In addition to representing clients in litigation we work with them to develop strategies to minimise the incidence of claims and the number of claims that proceed to dispute thus limiting clients' liability.

• Indemnity issues, including bad faith, subrogation and coverage
• Policies, including drafting, interpretation, subrogation and contribution both under the Insurance Contracts Act and at common law
• Alternative dispute resolution through mediation negotiation and other forms of ADR
• We provide regular and informative free training and commentaries to our clients on developing areas of common interest
• Liability for: employers indemnity, professional risk, public liability, marine, D&O, product, property and fire, and business interruption
