Sophie Pennington
Sophie is an experienced health lawyer with significant expertise in civil, coronial and disciplinary matters. Prior to joining Page Seager, Sophie was Special Counsel in health law at DLA Piper in Melbourne. She has considerable experience both in private practice and in-house, having previously held several positions (including Head of Medical Defence Services) at Avant Mutual Group Limited, Australia’s largest medical defence organisation.

Tom Pilkington
Tom specialises in workers compensation, acting for a number of major Australian workers compensation insurers and Tasmanian self-insurers. Clients value Tom’s practical, commercial approach and his comprehensive experience in a wide range of workers compensation issues under both the statutory scheme and at common law. Prior to his promotion to the partnership, Tom was a Senior Associate in Page Seager’s Insurance group. Tom is based in the firm’s Hobart office and can be contacted on:
