The Department specialises in:

  • government and environmental planning within the jurisdiction of the Resource Management Planning Appeals Tribunal and Resource Planning Development Commission.  This includes planning appeals, submissions on scheme amendments and permits and coordinating cases on scheme amendments and permits.
  • Resource based litigation planning, heritage, water management, environmental management, forestry and fisheries.
  • judicial review proceedings in the Supreme Court under the Judicial Review Act 2000
  • litigation involving resource based disputes
  • negotiated outcomes

We act for:-

  • developers,
  • councils and
  • third party representors

With three full time practitioners operating exclusively in the Department we are able to offer clients specialist advice with a team approach.   The Department places importance on providing a professional yet economical service.

We, where necessary, work closely with barristers and experts in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.   Through this we are able to project manage any proposal large or small.
