Raya is a lawyer specialising in intellectual property and technology based in Page Seager’s Melbourne office. Raya advises on the development, commercialisation, licensing, management, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights including trade marks, copyright and trade secrets.

She has particular expertise in trademark registration, prosecution and protection, having previously worked as a Senior Trademarks Examiner at IP Australia. She lodges and prosecutes trademark applications, manages IP portfolios and provides expert advice in relation to registration and protection of domestic and international trade marks.


Raya is an energetic and pragmatic lawyer who enjoys helping clients achieve commercial success by maximising their intellectual property assets. She assists clients across a range of industry sectors, including technology, food and wine and FMCG.


Raya’s recent experience includes:

  • Advising in relation to domain name, social media IP infringement and Google adword disputes;
  • Acting on several IP Australia trade mark prosecution and opposition proceedings; and
  • Providing Australian Consumer Law, privacy and copyright advice in relation to the development of online products and services.


Prior to joining Page Seager Raya worked for several years as a Trade Marks Examiner at IP Australia, before completing her legal studies and joining LegalVision as an IP lawyer.


Raya has published articles in relation to trademarks and intellectual property generally, and is currently completing a Masters of IP Law at the University of Melbourne. Her recently published articles include:
