Luke heads up our Employment & Safety practice in the Melbourne office.

His main areas of expertise are workplace compliance (including best practice agreements and policies), post-employment restraints, restructuring and transfer of business issues.


Before joining Page Seager, Luke spent over 14 years with a major international law firm. He has advised and represented clients across most sectors on employment and industrial relations matters, from medium sized companies through to some of Australia’s largest organisations, international companies and government.

Luke has particular expertise dealing with employment issues and disputes at the executive level and advising on restructuring, redundancy processes and managing fitness for work issues.

He also regularly provides training to clients, and assists in workplace investigations and in resolving workplace conflict. He has extensive experience representing clients before the Fair Work Commission and in the courts.

Examples of significant matters:

  • Advising on a restructure and redundancy process;
  • Representing a client in a stop-bullying Fair Work Commission hearing;
  • Advising on executive employment matters, including complex termination benefits issues;
  • Acting in Federal Circuit Court discrimination proceedings;
  • Advising on enterprise bargaining strategies and new enterprise agreements;
  • Assisting in an investigation into allegations of bullying and sexual harassment;
  • Representing clients in general protections claims.

Luke’s clients include: Orica, Cotton On, Redbubble, Financial Ombudsman Service, and Tupperware Brands.
