Ian was admitted in 1985 and after a short time in private practice joined the Tasmanian Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Ian practised there in the position of Crown Counsel until July 1996 when he joined Page Seager.
Ian's main area of practice is personal injuries litigation, with a particular interest in workers compensation and industrial litigation. He regularly appears as Counsel before the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Tribunal and Supreme Court in relation to conferences, hearings, trials and appeals. He also practises in the area of maritime law.
Ian has extensive experience in providing advice to self-insured employers and insurers regarding such matters as general indemnity, public liability and professional indemnity.
Ian is also a notary public and offers these services to new and existing clients.
Ian enjoys spending his spare time with his family, and his interests include walking and gardening.
