Page Seager Lawyers are offering an excellent opportunity for a candidate to start a rewarding career with a full-time two-year Legal Services traineeship in Hobart. This role will commence on 10 January 2022 and is a great opportunity to learn the day to day running of a professional services office, whilst developing skills in providing administrative and personal assistant support to our Lawyers. The position would suit a recent Year 12 graduate.

The position will involve completing studies in Certificate III Legal Services whilst undertaking the following duties:

  • Deliveries to courts, banks, post office and other businesses;
  • Front of house duties including answering phones, greeting clients, preparation and maintenance of meeting rooms and making beverages for clients;
  • Personal assistant tasks including paper and electronic filing, scanning and assisting with other office duties;
  • Archiving of files; and
  • Stationery ordering and inventory management.

 

To be successful for the position you will require:

  • strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • previous customer service experience;
  • demonstrated computer literacy including sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • excellent attention to detail;
  • the ability to work under pressure and multitask in a busy work environment;
  • the drive to complete self-paced formal studies within fixed timeframes;
  • the ability to acquire skills through formal learning and on-the-job training;
  • good personal presentation appropriate for a professional office setting;
  • the ability to build relationships with all levels of the organisation; and
  • the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise initiative and sound judgement.
