Page Seager Lawyers are offering an opportunity for a junior candidate to start a rewarding career with a full-time two-year business administration traineeship in Hobart. This is a great opportunity to learn the day to day running of a professional services office, while learning how to provide administrative and personal assistant support to our Lawyers.

The position will involve completing studies in Certificate III Business Administration (Legal) whilst undertaking the following duties:

  • Deliveries to courts, banks, post office and other businesses;
  • Front of house duties including answering phones, greeting clients, preparation and maintenance of meeting rooms and making beverages for clients;
  • Junior personal assistant tasks including paper and electronic filing, scanning and assisting with other office duties;
  • Archiving of files; and
  • Stationery ordering and inventory management.

To be successful for the position you will require:

  • strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • previous customer service experience;
  • demonstrated computer literacy including sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • excellent attention to detail;
  • the ability to work under pressure and multitask in a busy work environment;
  • the drive to complete self-paced formal studies within fixed timeframes;
  • the ability to acquire skills through formal learning and on-the-job training;
  • good personal presentation appropriate for a professional office setting;
  • the ability to build relationships with all levels of the organisation; and
  • the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise initiative and sound judgement.
