Page Seager appoints two new Partners to its Dispute Resolution Team

Page Seager is pleased to announce the appointments of Alastair Oxbrough and Cath Scott as partners in the Dispute Resolution Team. Alastair Oxbrough has over 17 years’ experience in transactions and disputes arising in the construction and engineering, infrastructure, energy and technology industries. He is experienced in all major types of project procurement and has worked on projects all over the world, having spent seven years of his career based in the United Kingdom.

Alastair has acted for a range of public and private sector clients, particularly asset management companies, contractors, developers, public authorities and insurers. He is known for his commercial and pragmatic approach to contract negotiation, dispute avoidance and dispute resolution, having been voted by peers as one of Australia’s top construction and infrastructure lawyers in the 2014, 2015 and 2016 editions of Best Lawyers.

Cath has over 14 years’ experience in dispute resolution as a lawyer, mediator and a judicial officer having returned to Page Seager in 2016 following appointments as a Federal Court Registrar and Administrative Appeals Tribunal Registrar.

Cath has extensive experience in both informal and formal dispute resolution and is focussed on getting the best outcomes for clients by ensuring that commercial needs are understood and, where it is necessary to use formal dispute resolution, that efficient and effective management of cases through Court and Tribunal processes occurs.
