Overview

In 2022, Lauren joined Page Seager’s Dispute Resolution group.

Lauren studied law at the University of Newcastle (NSW) and during this time she worked for over 18 months as a litigation paralegal. Lauren first developed a love for commercial litigation throughout her summer clerkship at a global firm, following her penultimate year of studies.

Lauren’s qualifications consist of a Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Laws (Honours Class I), and a Diploma of Legal Practice. Lauren was admitted as a solicitor in March of 2020.

Having been raised in Launceston, Lauren opted to return home to Tasmania after living interstate for over seven years.

Lauren prides herself on being a professional but relatable person. Most of all, Lauren is passionate about learning. She feels a great sense of achievement in assisting clients in navigating through the intricacies and ‘grey areas’ of the law.

Experience

Lauren has experience in a broad range of matters, including:

  • general civil litigation;
  • commercial and contractual litigation;
  • negligence (with a particular focus on medical and legal);
  • personal injury (including public liability);
  • estate law (i.e. contested statutory will applications, contested probate / letters of administration, and family provision claims); and
  • racing (i.e. thoroughbred and greyhound).
