Insurance | Workers Compensation Overview
Anna works for insurance companies and government organisations, providing advice on all areas of insurance, with a particular focus on Motor Accident Insurance Board (MAIB) matters. Clients value Anna’s experience as a lawyer in both private practice and as a Crown Law Legal Officer for the Queensland Government, and appreciate her practical and commercial approach to solving a wide range of complex insurance issues.
Experience
Before joining Page Seager, Anna worked as a lawyer in private practice for two Queensland based law firms, and in an in-house capacity as part of Crown Law Queensland’s Workplace Law team.
Anna’s experience includes:
- advising and assisting clients in relation to motor vehicle accident injury claims, public liability claims, workers compensation claims and professional indemnity and medical negligence claims;
- reviewing and advising on Work Cover and Workers’ Compensation Regulator decisions;
- defence of Workplace Health and Safety prosecutions; and
- advising on law and procedures in relation to public sector employment, and questions of administrative law.
Anna has also been a part time tutor at the University of Tasmania Law School.
