Dispute Resolution | Employment & Safety

Overview

Charli works closely with employers to navigate a wide range of workplace challenges. From developing proactive strategies and workplace policies, advising on complex employee issues, and stepping in when disputes escalate to litigation, she assists employers to resolve matters efficiently while fostering safe, compliant, and resilient workplaces.

She provides strategic advice to government agencies, educational institutions, regulatory bodies, and private organisations across a range of employment matters, including employee entitlements, conduct and performance management, redundancies, and contract negotiations. Charli supports proactive risk management through the development of clear, fit for purpose workplace policies and procedures that strengthen governance and help prevent disputes before they arise.

Charli understands the reputational and operational risks that litigation can create. Where disputes arise, she provides commercially focused advice and robust advocacy for employers defending unfair dismissal, general protections, and unlawful discrimination claims. She is skilled at developing strong, strategic defences while working to negotiate resolutions that protect her client’s legal and organisational interests.

Charli is also highly experienced in conducting workplace investigations and regularly leads complex investigations into serious and sensitive matters, including allegations of historic childhood sexual abuse, assault, bullying, sexual harassment, discrimination, and misconduct. Her trauma-informed approach ensures investigations are conducted with care and deliver outcomes that are both defensible and procedurally fair.

Prior to joining Page Seager, Charli worked as a senior legal consultant within State Government, where she provided high-level advice to senior executives and school leaders, managed historic child sexual abuse litigation, and responses to National Redress Scheme applications.
