Overview
Jeremy has over 15 years’ commercial legal and governance experience, much of which has been spent in senior in-house roles. He has advised boards and executives on complex disputes, commercial contracting, procurement, intellectual property, insurance, competition & consumer laws, governance and WH&S across a range of highly regulated industries including utilities (energy and water), hospitality and tourism, aviation and health. This in-house perspective means Jeremy understands how clients manage legal risk alongside operational, financial and reputational pressures. He brings a disciplined, commercially pragmatic approach to dispute resolution, delivering clear advice and practical outcomes aligned with clients’ broader business objectives.
Experience
Examples of Jeremy’s experience include:
- disputes and litigation including construction (hotel refurbishment, water/sewage infrastructure projects) and service/supply contracts (website/software development, waste management);
- WH&S advisory and dispute experience, including critical incident response and regulator engagement;
- contentious employment matters including significant fraud investigation and litigation, EA negotiations, discrimination claims and unfair dismissals;
- advising and acting in relation to large infrastructure projects including a water treatment plant construction, an airport runway resurfacing, a large solar array installation and a green hydrogen project;
- extensive senior in-house experience advising boards and executives on commercial and workplace disputes, governance, and complex regulatory matters;
- developing scalable and efficient ‘whole of lifecycle’ procurement and contracting frameworks;
- drafting, negotiating and managing high-value commercial contracts and resolving contractual disputes; and
- advising on governance frameworks, board decision-making, and compliance obligations in regulated environments.
