Overview
Benjamin is a lawyer in Page Seager’s Insurance Litigation group. He commenced at Page Seager in September 2024, originally in the Dispute Resolution group.
Prior to joining the firm, Benjamin was Associate to the Honourable Justice Pearce of the Supreme Court of Tasmania in Launceston. He was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Tasmania in August 2022 and to the High Court of Australia in 2024.
Benjamin graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2021 with a Bachelor of Laws, after completing a supervised research paper on the Competition Act and digital online platforms.
Experience
Benjamin assists in matters involving:
- providing advice in relation to workers compensation claims management and strategy;
- advising insurers on matters of indemnity, quantum and strategy;
- assisting counsel in Supreme Court proceedings; and
- assisting in the recovery of statutory benefits from third parties.
Benjamin is a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA).
He has appeared in the Tasmanian Civil & Administrative Tribunal and Supreme and Magistrates Courts of Tasmania.
