Overview
Rachel has a background in major procurement activities and continues to apply that expertise and pragmatism to support clients’ commercial and contractual needs across Tasmania’s public and private sectors.
Rachel also advises on legislative and regulatory compliance, particularly in the areas of consumer law, competition and privacy.
Experience
Rachel began her career in a commercial and government law practice in Canberra, and has also worked on the acquisition of major military platforms and support systems for the aerospace and maritime domains of the Department of Defence. She joined Page Seager in 2023 after returning to Tasmania and specialises in supporting complex industrial projects, manufacturing arrangements, highly technical procurements, construction agreements and consumer law matters.
Rachel’s can assist with:
- drafting and negotiating bespoke agreements for any commercial transaction;
- preparing competitive tenders and conducting evaluations;
- overhauling, renewing and improving established contracts;
- contract management and planning;
- drafting and ensuring the currency of governance documentation for companies and public sector entities; and
- joining in-house legal teams as a temporary member via Page Resource
