Overview

Harriet works with national insurers to assist them with claims in relation to workers compensation, personal injury, professional indemnity and medical negligence. Harriet provides strategic advice aimed at resolving claims quickly and efficiently and has a keen eye for detail. Harriet prides herself on providing technically sound, solution focused and practical advice in a way that is tailored to the specific client and can be easily understood.

Harriet regularly appears as counsel in the Tasmanian Civil & Administrative Tribunal and Supreme Court.

Experience

Examples of recent experience include:

  • providing advice in relation to workers compensation claims management, particularly in relation to claims for psychological conditions;
  • defending investigations commenced by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) against medical professionals; and
  • defending complex medical negligence claims for personal injury; and
  • negotiating the commercial resolution of claims for workers compensation.

Harriet is a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA).
