Emily Creak joins Page Seager as Principal

Page Seager welcomes Emily Creak as a Principal lawyer in its Employment & Safety practice from 20 February 2024. Emily has been recognised on Doyle’s “Leading Employment Lawyers” list and is the only Accredited Specialist in Workplace Relations Law in Tasmania.

Emily joins us from a large national firm, having exclusively practised in workplace relations law for more than a decade. Representing a diverse range of clients both across Tasmania and the mainland, she has acted in a number of high-profile cases including:

  • Employment and tribunal matters for several AFL Clubs.
  • Discrimination and bullying claims involving members of Parliament.
  • Contract negotiations for high-profile national media and sporting personalities.
  • Complex industrial disputes and enterprise bargaining involving major Australian employers.
  • Allegations of sexual harassment involving several members of the judiciary.

Emily embraces opportunities to give back to the Tasmanian community, including as a member of the Law Society of Tasmania’s Employment, Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Passionate about mental health, Emily is also a board member of Lifeline Tasmania.

Emily’s appointment follows a number of years of growth for the firm and client demand for workplace relations support. Significant industrial relations reforms have added to an already complex environment for employers to navigate. We are committed to ensuring that our clients are provided with premium legal support from specialist lawyers and Emily’s appointment strengthens our capabilities in workplace relations and enterprise bargaining.
